We're No Longer in Camden? Politically.

news

How do you feel about being in the parliamentary constituency of The City of London & Islington South?

Don't panic - yet.  It's only a proposal and your views are being sought.

The Boundary Commission for England is reviewing the boundaries of every parliamentary constituency.  This is routine - it happens every five years.  Under the current proposals our constituency of Holborn & St. Pancras disappears. Two LB Camden wards south of Euston Road, Kings X and Holborn & Covent Garden, form part of the westerly edge of the proposed constituency boundary which is adjacent to City of London and Clerkenwell. This makes us more Islington and City of London than Camden.

Wonder what happened to the rest of our constituency?  Take a look west - and say a cheery "hello' to Camden & Regent's Park. Wave to your friends in Bloomsbury ward - they'll have a different MP.

The Boundary Commission for England is the independent public body that reviews all Parliamentary constituency boundaries in England. They are currently conducting the 2013 Review and would like your views on initial proposals. This consultation is open until 5 December 2011.
