Plans to Rejuvenate St Andrew's Gardens

news

Camden would like your feedback on plans to rejuvenate St Andrew's Gardens.

There are proposals to refurbish St Andrews Gardens with a new planting scheme and paths - the plans are on display in the garden's notice boards.  The design aims to make better use of the space in St Andrew's Gardens, to bring more colour into the planting and to include elements that are beneficial to wildlife including:-

· new flower beds and a floral walkway
· traditional wildflower meadow with small fruit trees
· removing the tired rose beds and overgrown shrubs
· using the headstones piled in the park as a feature to mark the original path
· reducing some path widths to increase the amount of lawn in the gardens
· repairing and resurfacing paths

An event to allow people to discuss these plans with members of the parks department will take place onWednesday 28 September  1pm - 4pm

Camden welcome your views.

Please let them know what you think before 5 October 2011.

Plans and the survey form are published on the Camden website: www.camden.gov.uk/consultations
