New School

news

A new school in our area is now a step closer following Camden’s approval of the sale of the Wren Street site.  The ‘where is my school?’ parents have been campaigning for 8 years for a secondary school to serve the over a thousand children aged between 11 and 15 living in this area – over 80% of whom currently go to secondaries outside Camden.

Expected to open in 2016, the new school will educate 120 local pupils per year group.  It will be sponsored and run by the Bloomsbury-based Institute of Education, making this school the first University Training School in the country.

If you have a child in year 3 or below, get in touch with the campaign and sign up to their newsletter.

The campaign also wants to establish links with parents in Camden's primary and nursery schools south of Euston Road. If you have strong links with any of these schools let them know – their email address is on their website
