Spot the Group Scout Leader (our own Cllr Julian Fulbrook) in his regulation Tilley canoe hat at the recent Holborn Scout camp at Walton Firs, where 115 campers from the Scout Group based at Coram's Fields had a wet, muddy, but very happy time.
As well as a weekly programme of activities at Coram's Fields for the girls and boys of Holborn, these are interspersed with outings and expeditions. In recent years local Scouts have been to Sweden, Holland, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Thailand, as well as far and wide in Britain.
Scouting is the world's largest youth organisation and is entirely run by volunteer effort. Each week around 480,000 people in the Uk are involved in Scouting activities. The organisation offers young people aged 6 to 25, and adult volunteers the experiences of a lifetime.
