The British Biscuit Festival

events

Friday, 8 June 2012 - Sunday, 10 June 2012
At The Brunswick

For three days only biscuits enthusiasts can indulge in everything related to this iconic British snack...

Build–a–Biscuit Workshops: For those who yearn for more than a digestive to dunk in their tea. Help will be on hand from The Cake Conjurer for those who need a bit of inspiration on how to create the perfect biscuit. Donations collected from this activity will go towards the work of The Foundling Museum.

The Terrific Biscuit Tin Tournament: Who will be crowned the 2012 Biscuit Champion? For those who have mastered the art of eating a biscuit without licking away the crumbs, dunking cookies in tea without them going soggy or reciting a sonnet with a mouth full of digestives this competition is a must.

Tea and Biscuit Social: Sit back, relax with a good cuppa and biscuit with our agony aunt Dai Gestive, in a pop-up installation designed by vintage interior enthusiasts The Bijoux Editrix. Adorned with vintage lamps and frilly pillows, this is a decadent haven for grown-ups.

Tea Dance (Saturday Only): To keep the crowd of cookie monsters entertained there will be a variety of performances from The Ragroof Theatre where you can also learn some moves.

Live Band (Sunday Only): Good time tunes from Four Hills Music

Farmers Market (Saturday Only): A wonderful selection of food produce at the regular Saturday market.

Plus many more spectacular acts, stalls and workshops
Crafternoon, Biscuit Science, Spin Cookie Art, Round the World Biscuits, Street Food Biscuits, Tea Liquers, Fete Games.....
