This year, the Mayor's Thames Festival will be bringing you 10 whole days of action-packed river-related entertainment.
From this Friday 6 September to Sunday 15 September, London's famous river will come to life with a season of bespoke events. The Festival celebrates the Thames with creative commissions, fabulous river events and a range of exciting activities. From river cruises and relays, to river walks and talks, get inspired and enjoy London's iconic river!
Highlights include:
'1513: A Ships' Opera' - a spectacular water-borne performance by an armada of historic vessels
The Deluxe River Cruise' by Doug Fishbone - darkly surreal river cruises with a difference. You'll never see the Thames in the same light again
Thames Walks - discover Brixton's rural past, see why the Oval is oval and find out about prisons, slums and wells, dissident monks and madmen
Thames Talks - lively discussions covering the past, present and future of this famous river
FloatArt - London's first floating art fair
