Our Mount Pleasant

events

Saturday, 29 October 2016 - Saturday, 29 October 2016
3.00-7.00pm

This is a message from our friends at the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood Forum:

Dear  Friends, Neighbours and Colleagues,

You are all part of our project to improve our neighbourhood - part of our group effort to make our neighbourhood a better place to live and work. So please come to our get-together on Saturday and take part!

The Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood Forum is in the process of developing a Neighbourhood Plan for our area, which when complete will become part of local planning law. This plan will include "our" Mount Pleasant" AND all the other development issues that affect our local areas - problems you think are important.

Everything we do - local planning issues, "our" Mount Pleasant project, "our" new Forum and local plan - all have the same goal: to make our neighbourhood a better place to live and work.

Your Forum (made up of your neighbours) has been working hard preparing the ground - reading local plans, consulting all of you about issues you think are important - and generally getting ready to start writing out our detailed plan for our area.

Now the Forum is ready to start detailed work on our local plan! We want everyone to be part of the project.

I have great pleasure in inviting you - and indeed re-inviting you and reminding you that - to a public meeting/workshop to discuss our local area, to learn a few things about our Forum work, about local planning, and, most importantly, about how we can change things for the better!

LET'S GET STARTED!

SATURDAY 29TH OCTOBER  3 pm to 7pm

CALTHORPE PROJECT (Grays Inn Road)

(the afternoon is broken up into blocks so you can drift in and out as you please....though we hope most people will stay the course)

There will be:

  • general introductions
  • short sessions of information
  • information about "our" Mount Pleasant
  • questions and answer sessions throughout the afternoon,
  • a speaker from West Hampstead Neighbourhood Forum (Keith Moffat) to tell us how their Forum succeeded in gaining significant changes to local plans,
  • discussion workshops

..... and...

  • a social get-together with food and drink ..... (no pumpkins! so don't bring your Halloween mask -- please!)

Lots of people have already told me they are coming - but please let me know if you, also, will be attending, so (most important) we know we've got enough food and drink for you all!

Hope to hear from you by Friday Oct 28th, and, more importantly, to see you on Saturday afternoon!

With best wishes, as always,

Judy Dainton
(Chair, Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood Forum)
