At Coram, the UK’s first children’s charity, a specialist group of charities provide children and young people with the love and opportunity they need to thrive. One of the ways they create better chances for children and young people is by providing those leaving care with advocacy, advice and opportunities to get their voices heard. Last year, Coram supported over 1,000 young care leavers, directly supporting 300 who were experiencing homelessness.
Coram would like to invite you to join in-person for a supporter and community event focusing on Coram's work with care experienced young people on 20th (3pm to 4.30pm) or 21st July (6pm to 7.30pm) at the Coram Campus, 41 Brunswick Square, London, WC1N 1AZ to:
- Hear first-hand from young care leavers how Coram’s work has made a difference in their lives
- Meet the team of experts responsible for delivering services and Carol Homden, Coram’s CEO to find out how we they responding to challenges such as the high rates of homelessness among care leavers
- Enjoy delicious refreshments and an opportunity to meet others who are interest in our work at this informal gathering
