Europa: Commissioned as a keynote spectacle for the Bloomsbury Summer Fete, Europa is a 50 minute dramatic, musical and architectural collaboration between designer collective ADA and composer/director Adam Donen featuring a growing, modular "living" stage as the lead actor.

The collaboration is based on Brecht's idea that it is a stage rather than actors that define (and confine) a performance. The piece began as a collaboration with design collective ADA, who  aspired to create a ‘modular’ stage where each element could also fulfill other functions and which  has now evolved into an 'extravaganza'. Donen's orchestration features strings, piano, musical saw, robot drummers (!), soprano / tenor soloists and voice.
