Bloomsbury Festival

events

Friday, 19 October 2012 - Sunday, 21 October 2012
The Bloomsbury Festival 2012 will take place on the weekend of the 20th October (put the dates in your diary!) celebrating the cultural organisations, community groups, creative individuals and iconic institutions of this little-known corner of central London.

Bloomsbury is a fascinating place, with an extraordinarily rich history as well as a contemporary and diverse cultural community.

Over one extraordinary weekend, the Festival offers a taster of the amazing cultural life of this beautiful area of central London.

From dance to drama, poetry to performance, art to architecture and workshops to walks it's already promising to be another exciting year with programming taking place across the whole area.

Do take a peek at the film of the 2011 Festival, which  will bring back memories of a wonderful autumn weekend, and give you a taste of what the Bloomsbury Festival 2012 will bring.

This year's  programme is available on the website, and online booking for some events will be available at the beginning of October.

The Festival is run on the principle that places are at their best when people work together, and culture is shared by all. It brings together the diverse range of people who live and work here and shares their creative ethos with all who visit.

The Festival celebrates contemporary Bloomsbury: a thriving place of pioneering ideas, creative experimentation, international collaboration, and beautiful public spaces. We are proud to continue traditions of social inclusivity and creative exploration which have flourished in the area for centuries.
