Camden Council's Cabinet meets to make a decision regarding the controversial "Torrington Place to Tavistock Place Experimental Traffic Order (ETO)"

Anyone who wishes can attend the meeting at the Town Hall on Judd Street.

However, it is no longer a simple yes or no decision, the choices proposed are :

1. The Council maintains the ETO therefore maintaining the current road layout as is and takes steps to progress towards making it permanent, but does not take a final decision as to whether to make it permanent, until it receives the further report at 3.

2. A public inquiry is held to further examine the merits of the scheme.

3. That once the inquiry has been held Cabinet is asked to look again at the scheme considering the results of the Inquiry and then to decide whether to maintain or remove it and, if they do maintain it, whether to make any changes/improvements to it.

An analysis by BRAG of the Council responses and BRAG’s petition shows that, of those local (WC1) residents who made their views known, 564 were in favour of the trial becoming permanent, and at least 760 were against it.
