1 - 4 pm
There are proposals to refurbish St Andrews Gardens with a new planting scheme and paths - the plans are on display in the garden's notice boards.
The design aims to make better use of the space in St Andrew's Gardens, to bring more colour into the planting and to include elements that are beneficial to wildlife including:-
· new flower beds and a floral walkway
· traditional wildflower meadow with small fruit trees
· removing the tired rose beds and overgrown shrubs
· using the headstones piled in the park as a feature to mark the original path
· reducing some path widths to increase the amount of lawn in the gardens
· repairing and resurfacing paths
Memebers of the parks department will be in St Andrew Gardens between 1 - 4pm on Wedsnesday 28th Sept to discuss the plans.
