Thanks to the support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH) and the London Borough of Camden, Coram's Fields has been able to create a brand new play area for the first time in over ten years!
To mark this exciting occasion Coram’s Fields will be holding an official launch event. In attendance will be the Rt Hon Frank Dobson MP and Tim Johnson, Executive Director of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Come down on the day for free goodie bags and refreshments!
The play equipment is the first new play area at Coram's Fields for over ten years, made possible by the collaboration with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and the London Borough of Camden. The play space includes an innovative sensory garden and carousel and is designed for enjoyment by all children. It is wheelchair accessible and suitable for all children to play together.
Speaking ahead of the opening, Coram's Fields director, Octavia Holland said: 'This is fantastic news for the charity and a welcome addition to the park. This new play space provides a timely boost for both the children of GOSH and the local area; for whom accessible play opportunities have been too often limited'.
Similarly, Tim Johnson, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity Chief Executive said: “So many of the hospital’s patients and families enjoy much needed time-out at Coram’s Fields that we were thrilled to contribute towards this exciting new accessible play area. The fact children in wheelchairs will now be able to join in the fun is fantastic.”
