Holborn Voice wouldn't usually urge you to attend Camden's Development Control Committee meeting; it's where councillors take reports from planning officers and make planning decisions.
The meeting is different. Despite Boris snatching the decision about Mount Pleasant away from Camden a couple of weeks ago because it was 'taking too long', our bold and fearless councillors are going ahead with considering the planning application anyway. And our own ward councillor Dynamo Sue Vincent is in the chair.
The process is quasi-judicial. The means the councillors are obliged to act and make decisions entirely within the law. You will be able to witness at first hand Camden's official position on the application.
Your support is welcomed. It shows not only to our councillors but also to Boris that we care about what happens in our borough in our name.
Mount Pleasant is the first planning item on the agenda. The are and handful of procedural administrative items beforehand.
The title of agenda item sems rather dry, but don't be fooled. It's all about how we shape and share our community for the next century or so.
