The Brunswick shopping centre in the heart of Bloomsbury will be waving the fare on Friday 22nd November as customers are given the chance to experience a unique photobooth as part of its Christmas lights switch-on celebrations.
The converted London cab – with an option to post photos directly to Facebook – is just one of a number of attractions awaiting customers for The Brunswick’s annual festive event. Starting at 3.30pm, the afternoon kicks off with musical performances from blues starlet Annie Bea, while pioneering DJ collective Urban Groove will be fusing live instruments and turntables to keep the music flowing well into the evening.
In keeping with the festive spirit, any customer that spends £5 or more at a Brunswick retailer or restaurant will be given a voucher to redeem against a complimentary glass of warm Pimms and a doughnut.
The lights will be officially switched on at 6.30pm, while shops and restaurants will remain open throughout the evening, with many retailers offering exclusive one-night-only discounts.
“Everyone at The Brunswick is really looking forward to the lights switch-on,” comments Centre Manager, David Plumb. “We pride ourselves on running unique and interesting events that offer customers something more than their standard shopping trip.
“Christmas can be a pretty hectic time so it’s nice to create an area of calm and an event that will put a smile on everyone’s faces! I’m particularly looking forward to seeing the London cab photobooth. It’s the first time it’s been used anywhere in London and it’s great to have it at The Brunswick.”
