Two days of high-level, thought-provoking, public debate organised by the Institute of Ideas at the Barbican - a must for the intellectually curious and open minded.
The festival, now in its ninth year, aims to provide a forum for free-thinking, debate and discussion on some of the most pressing issues of our time.
During the festival weekend, over 2,000 delegates will attend over 80 sessions, and will be joined by hundreds of insightful and thought provoking speakers from across the globe, who represent a wide range of disciplines and viewpoints.
This year’s programme includes exciting KEYNOTE DEBATES such as; Is nothing private anymore?, Authority in crisis, State Vs. Market: Is there a way forward?, Building trust, or cleaning up the public realm?, Soul on the slab: is there no limit to what neuroscience can do?, What is New Environmentalism? And Do as I say, not as I do: What’s wrong with hypocrisy?
As well as these sessions, there are also strands of discussion on topics such as education, science, arts and culture, and international relations
