The £24 million facelift of The Brunswick has paid off. Gone is the dilapidated, windswept urban jungle; the bustling modern and spacious shopping and eating hotspot has arrived. Nearly forty years on from its original construction the 1960's vision of renowned architect Patrick Hodgkinson is now complete. The re-opening of the Brunswick, located opposite Russell Square underground is an important example of urban mixed use development with strong associations with Bloomsbury. Today visitors of The Brunswick are spoilt for choice. Set in one of London's most historic and culturally exciting villages the Brunswick is not only great for shopping and dining, but also is the renaissance of one of London's most well known listed buildings.
